Simple. Savory. Summer in a glass.

Coach Nate swears by this one, especially when the heat starts turning every workout into a sweat lodge. This is your post-session reset: light, salty, hydrating, and shockingly satisfying.

It’s called chaas (aka Indian buttermilk), but don’t let the name throw you. Think of it like a savory lassi: cooling yogurt thinned with water, punched up with mint, lime, and a little spice. It’s got probiotics. It’s got electrolytes. It’s got just enough weird to keep things interesting.

And yeah, you will feel fancy drinking it out of a mason jar.

Mint & Lime Chaas

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 5-10 minutes
Yield: Makes 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt (we used whole milk)
  • 1 cup cold water (add more if you like it thinner)
  • Juice of ½ to 1 lime (taste and trust your gut)
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • ½ tsp cumin (toasted if you’ve got the patience)
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Pinch of salt (don’t skip this—salt = recovery)

Directions:

  1. Blend It: Toss everything into a blender. Blend until smooth, light, and frothy. Adjust salt, lime, or water if needed. Taste is king here.
  2. Chill or Serve Over Ice: It’s best cold. Pour it into a glass, over ice if you’re feeling it. Bonus points if you garnish with a mint leaf or sprinkle of cumin and feel like a Michelin-starred hydration expert.

Why We Love It:

This is one of those “coach drinks” that feels too simple to matter—until it does. Great post-workout. Great between meals. Great when you’re bored of protein shakes and still need to recover like a grown-up.
